                                          Physical Education Self-Evaluation Grade

During PE this year I think that I have shown that I have been well prepared by bringing in my gym strip almost all the time and am willing to participate in all of the activities, by bringing in a good atitude. I think I have shown alot of optimism towards physical education and am ready to participate everyday. I have participated to my best effort on the days that we have been in the weight room, obstacle courses, and days outside. The days that were a challenge for me were beep tests and the Insanity workout, because it was non-stop action and I wasn't able to show as much effort as I did at the beggining of the workout session.

I think I contribute to the overall success of the class at a medium rate. I push my friends to their limits when they seem to not be as optimistic about the excercise as I am. I always try to get them to put as much effort as they can and if they still aren't paticipating in the activity then I stop because I don't want to force them to do something they don't want to. I always try to have the most optimistic attitude about the class depending on what we are doing. If we are doing an Insanity workout for example then I will be determined to push to my limits, and hang around those who have the same goal. I interact with my classmates pretty well and usually ask them for help if I don't understand the excersise.
My participation level is pretty good I think because I have been able to get myself to succeed in pushing further than I did before. I enjoy playing volleyball, badminton, capture the flag, and doing the pond run. My fitness goals for this year are: to keep pushing myself to my limits, continue swimming, and hopefully work further into scuba diving. Scuba diving is considered a sport.

My definition of Leadership is someone who can commit to helping others as well as themselves. They play a great role in our society by setting good examples for not only the younger people but the older ones as well. There are so many leaders out there that don't even know it and they are making a difference by being a good helpful member of our society by contributing to training, tutoring, teaching, and telling. One really good example of this in our class is Brittany D. who is always trying to push me and Laura to our limits. If I stop for even a minute, she will pick me right back up and tell me to keep going even if it hurts.

I would like to improve in being able to go for a longer period of time without having to stop. I am most proud of the progress I have made in exceeding my fitness level since last year. I am also extremely happy that I know a few of the muscles, and different workout sessions for each one in order to strengthen them.

I think I deserve an A because I think I have proven to myself that I am an active member of the class who is always prepared to begin another session.

  1. Nice post Shabnum. I am super happy to hear you are enjoying our class and finding ways to push yourself a little harder in fitness. I love your description and choice of leaders in our class and agree. I think your biggest obstacle to continued success will be the intensity with which you are willing to go after things like the insanity workout. It is super tough, exhausting, and makes you sore after... but it is supposed to be. The more comfortable you become with being uncomfortable the better chance we have of your body responding and repairing itself into a new, fitter, stronger version. I love that you smile so much and enjoy having you class. Time to take exercising to a new place. :)
